Fab bench
BenchMaster Pro
BenchMaster Pro is a heavy-duty fab bench built for South African yards needing a flat, stable top, practical fixture options, and integrated earthing for safe, repeatable work.
What BenchMaster Pro is built for
BenchMaster Pro is our fabrication bench for busy steel shops, training floors, trailer and gate shops, and maintenance bays. The 2400 by 900 by 25 mm steel top stays flat and solid under the weight of structural beam setups, long channel, or heavy jigs needed for trailer fabrication.
The 50 mm dog-hole grid fits standard 18 mm dogs and fixture sets, letting you clamp from any angle or set up precise stops. Four M10 earth studs take a direct welding return, giving a clean connection near your workpiece. The oil-black finish holds up against grinding, splatter, and dust on Joburg and Durban floors.
This bench suits teams handling repeat builds, structural assemblies, repairs, or practical welding training. It also covers you where the job needs to be shifted between MIG, stick and TIG without the bench flexing or earth point failures.

How a bay is set up around BenchMaster Pro
Most yards pair BenchMaster Pro with our ClampRail System for quick clamping along the edge or at any grid point. JigKit Modular plates bolt down for repeat jobs or training recipes. Angle blocks, earth bond plates and soft jaws are easy to swap in for special setups.
A standard bay layout includes the bench, ClampRail, a TorchBay Station for cutting, GrindDeck Safe for grinding, PPE Station Bay, and the MeasureKit Fab for all your checking and marking gear. Consumables and fixtures are kept at hand on a Consumable Cart or wall racks, helping keep the work area uncluttered and ready for the next shift.
For training bays or TVET floors, BenchMaster Pro pairs with TrainBay Starter kits, using open sight rails and habit cards to teach safe, correct habits without wasting floor space.

Safety, standards and South African workshop realities
Welding and hot work on a BenchMaster Pro meet the General Safety Regulation 9 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Use the M10 bench studs for a bolted earth when clamping parts, or clamp close to the weld on clean metal. Never route welding return through hinges or chains. Inspect earth cables and lugs for heat marks before each job.
Grinding and cutting throw sparks for metres, keep screens up and a fire extinguisher ready. Make sure grinding disc ratings match your tool speeds. Coastal areas like Durban and Gqeberha notice more rust on bench tops and clamp screws from the humidity: re-oil the finish regularly and check for pitting.
Power interruptions can halt welding and grinding, so plan work queues and safe restarts. Always check that earth paths are clean after any outage or cable trip.
How to check BenchMaster Pro is right for your floor
BenchMaster Pro is the right fit when you need a flat, rigid bench that will not sag, twist or lose square under the weight of heavy jobs or repeat assembly. It handles up to 1200 kg static load, so it suits everything from medium structural steelwork to small mining spares.
If your shop runs multiple shifts or mixes trainees and experienced welders, the dog grid and fixture options help keep jobs precise and safe. For teams in coastal cities, ask us about rust care. For colleges or repair yards, the open grid and earth studs make quick changeovers simple for each task.
If you want to check fit for your yard, send us a message with your bay size, typical work and welding processes. We can walk you through setup options, delivery and gear pairing for your floor.
Why yards choose BenchMaster Pro
Most imported benches flex under angle-grinder loads. BenchMaster Pro keeps the top flat when two welders share a bay.
