Consumables
Consumable Cart
The Consumable Cart keeps wire, discs, tips and PPE at hand anywhere in the shop, so bays stay stocked and productive, shift after shift.
The Consumable Cart suits busy fabrication floors
Our Consumable Cart is built for metal fabrication, repair, TVET training bays and any shop where welding and grinding never stand still. It takes six lockable drawers, slots for cutting and grinding discs, and a kanban card labelling system for quick checks and restocks.
Fabrication yards, gate and trailer shops, mining workshops and colleges all use carts to keep wire, tips, anti-spatter, gloves and spare discs within easy reach. The design fits tough jobs and high traffic, with locking wheels so it stays put near the bench or layout table.
- Holds wire, discs, tips and PPE
- Rolls to any bay or zone
- Suited for welding, grinding and fitting

Setting up your bay with the Consumable Cart and other gear
Set the Consumable Cart alongside your BenchMaster Pro, ClampRail System or GrindDeck Safe. Each bay can assign a cart, or you can share carts between neighbouring zones. Disc slots keep cutting, flap and grinding discs separate by size, while drawers hold wire spools, tips and small tools.
Pair with our Kanban card pack to trigger quick restocks. Link the cart to your Consumable Store, or set up a PPE Station Bay nearby so gloves, visors and ear plugs never run out mid-shift. The cart’s lockable drawers keep high-use items out of sight after hours.
- Slot for every disc size
- Kanban cards for restock control
- Locking wheels for stability
Safety, stock control and South African shopfloor realities
Good consumable control is about more than tidy drawers. Running out of discs or tips mid-weld leads to unsafe shortcuts, borrowed gear and wasted time. Lockable storage helps keep PPE and abrasive stock safe from mix-ups, especially when bays run double shifts or host learners.
Workshops in South Africa face different conditions: Highveld dust, coastal humidity and transient power. Store wire spools off the floor to avoid dust and moisture, and keep spare PPE dry in sealed drawers. Kanban cards help supervisors spot low stock before a shift, while the cart’s mobility means you never have to send someone across a big yard during a sudden Gauteng thunderstorm.
How to check if the Consumable Cart will suit your yard
Walk the line at shift change. If you spot grinders lying on the floor, discs stacked on benches or welders queuing at the stores window, a Consumable Cart will save time and reduce risk. Estimate your busiest hour: can your team get everything they need inside their bay in minutes?
The cart is sized for South African shopfloors, with locking wheels and enough fork clearance for safe movement. If you already use kanban or have multiple welding bays, the cart slots right in. For tight workshops or mobile repairs, check our smaller PPE Station Bay or keep consumable carts at key zones.
- Check drawer and slot sizes for your main consumables
- Test wheel locks on your floor surface
- Review kanban tags for fast restock
