Sunnyrock floor upgrade
We have overhauled our Sunnyrock workshop floor with new bay layouts, fresh demo gear and sharper zoning for hands-on training and fab trials.
New bay layouts and demo zones in place
Our floor at 2 Makro Place, Sunnyrock, now runs fully up to date fab and training bays set up as you’d find in a working yard or a TVET college. Each bay is marked out for weld, grind and layout, with clear floor lines and zone cards. Gear from our BenchMaster Pro, TorchBay Station, GrindDeck Safe and Consumable Cart ranges is installed for real-world trials.
The new layouts keep welding, grinding and measuring gear separate so you avoid grit in your vernier and keep PPE in reach. We’ve installed extra earth bond points on benches and fitted every zone with the correct return clamps, as specified in General Safety Regulation 9 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. This means crews and trainees work in a setting that matches current safety and workflow expectations.
Shopfloor improvements for training and trials
You’ll see clear signage for PPE, consumables and bay tasks, plus practical storage for angle blocks, fillet gauges and layout squares. With proper separation between hot work and measuring, its now quick to check a weld or swap between processes without clutter or confusion.
The demo floor is open for hands-on trials: you can clamp up, run a weld or oxy-fuel cut, and use the same cards, fixtures and consumables carts we supply across South Africa. Our team will guide you through safe setup, with equipment and zoning that fits the reality of Gauteng fab yards, municipal shops and TVET floors.
What to expect when you visit Sunnyrock
Visits are by appointment. You can walk through each bay, check the shopfloor setups, and try out our ClampRail System, JigKit Modular fixtures and EarthBond Kit in a realistic work environment. Every demo station follows the same zoning and safety logic we recommend for new setups.
