Square fence kit
Get repeatable right angles on your Layout Table XL with a square fence kit that keeps jobs true, batch after batch.
Square fence kit fits our Layout Table XL
The square fence kit is purpose-built for the Layout Table XL, giving you sturdy, adjustable right-angle stops for shopfloor welding, grinding and layout. Each kit includes two heavy-gauge steel fences, square locating brackets, milled stops, and M12 fixing hardware. It slots directly into the factory-tapped holes on your Layout Table XL, no drilling or marking required.
You will get consistent 90 degree corners for gates, trailer chassis, balustrades and production runs. The system is designed for South African fab shops, training bays and repair yards that already use Layout Table XL for big jobs or repeat work. It’s not meant for lightweight benches, wood tops or tables that flex under load.

How to use the square fence kit for true results
Set the fence up before marking or tacking any workpiece. Start by brushing the table and fence edges clean so nothing throws off your square. Bolt the first fence down tight, then check with a trusted 90-degree square before fixing the second fence. Make sure both fences are fully seated in their slots before tightening the M12 bolts.
Clamp or tack your part firmly against both fences. Check for gaps at all contact points, and adjust as needed. For long runs or batch work, use the milled stops to set exact repeat positions. Always double-check fence alignment before starting a shift, someone might leave a fence slightly loose during a rush.
- Brush all faces clean before setup
- Check square with a proper measuring tool
- Tighten all fixing bolts fully
- Use milled stops for repeat parts
- Re-check alignment before every shift
Care, spares and mistakes to avoid
Keep the square fence kit rust-free, especially in coastal towns. Wipe down and oil the fences and stops after any wet job or when you spot bare metal. Highveld dust can build up under the fixing brackets, so don't forget to clear out the slots weekly.
If a fence or bracket gets bent (usually from heavy knocks or improper storage), swap it for a spare before the next production run. Replacement brackets, milled stops, and bolt packs are available, send us a message for spares. Never use makeshift bolts or try to force-fit the fence onto another table, as this will throw your jobs out of true.
