JigKit Modular service
JigKit Modular works best with routine care and a sharp eye for wear or faults. Use our support service when you need practical help or setup advice in your own bay.
Routine care keeps JigKit Modular ready
Stick to a simple care schedule and your JigKit plates, angle blocks and tags will stay accurate and easy to use. Daily cleaning and monthly checks prevent most problems before they slow down work.
Wipe down jig plates and slots at the end of every shift to remove dust, flux and spatter. Check that bolts and nuts are snug, but don't over-tighten. Keep angle blocks and recipe tags together in a labelled container. If your bay stands unused for a week or more, give the plates a light oil wipe to prevent rust, especially near the coast.
Once a month, check for bent plates, worn slot edges and loose grid inserts. If a part feels sticky or nicks your glove, sort it out before the next job. Grinding and cutting nearby throws grit, so use the spark skirt if there is one and sweep up daily.
- Clean plates and blocks daily
- Keep tags and blocks organised
- Check for loose bolts weekly
- Oil surfaces if bay will stand a week
- Inspect for damage each month

Watch for signs of trouble
If slots are filling up with dust or spatter, parts do not sit flat or angle blocks wobble, it means something's shifted or is worn out. Plates should sit flush and tags must slot in easily. If a jig plate feels out of square or fixtures bind, check the surface for warping or high spots.
Unusual sparks, heat marks or stuck bolts are a warning to stop and inspect before continuing. If you see a crack, a bent block or a missing tag, mark it clearly and pull it out of rotation until you can fix or replace it. Keep an eye out for missing kanban cards, as these can mess up your job flow fast.
