Fixtures lead
Mr Johan Botha
Mr Johan Botha keeps FabMaster Workshop’s fixture systems sharp and practical for real South African fabrication floors, from jigs to ClampRail setups.
Making fixture systems practical for every shift
Johan handles all the fixture logic across our bays, from the BenchMaster Pro’s dog grid inserts to the angle block sets and ClampRail setups. His job is to see that every new order leaves with the right fixings and layout habits for actual South African shopfloor work, rather than only a clean drawing. On a normal day, you’ll find him checking that clamp rails run true, grind decks clear sparks safely, and all earth bond plates sit where welders can reach them easily.
He also keeps an eye on small but vital details, like making sure our jig plates get cleaned and tagged for the next job, or that dog holes don't fill up with dust between shifts. Johan’s notes cover how to mark up a new bay, tag your ScrapRack lanes or lay out a PPE Station so nobody’s stuck looking for gloves at the start of a rush.

Supporting yards from Highveld sheds to coastal workshops
Johan's fixture routines help all sorts of fabrication yards: trailer and gate shops, mining maintenance crews, municipal teams, TVET college bays, and even small aluminium sign makers. He focuses on habits that keep jobs square and safe, whether you’re welding in a dry Highveld shed or setting up a new TorchBay Station near the Durban harbour.
He often helps with bay upgrades, recommending soft jaws for coated steel, spark skirt kits where grinding throws debris, and thickness tag packs for ScrapRack lanes. When coastal customers call in about rusted clamp screws or sticky earth bonds, Johan’s advice is always practical and quick to apply.
