TrainBay Starter launch

TrainBay Starter is now available for TVET, company and in-house training floors, giving new welders a hands-on, organised bay designed for real South African conditions.

TrainBay Starter brings structure to welding training

The TrainBay Starter pack delivers a full fabrication bay layout tailored to South African training needs. It separates welding, grinding and layout zones with open sight rails and clear markings, so learners do not compete for tools or space.

Each bay comes with shift habit cards and starter PPE, helping trainees pick up the right safety habits and shop routines from day one. Zones and kit match real fab floors, making it easier to step into the workplace after training.

Practical details for real-world skills

We have set up each TrainBay with clear work surfaces, clamping points and earth paths to support safe technique. The included shift cards highlight the three key safety or setup checks for each zone, keeping instructions simple and repeatable.

Grinding and layout areas are separated from the welding area, reducing the risk of crowding, burns or flying sparks. Tools and PPE come in practical sizes, with everything labelled and within easy reach, no need to wait for a shared set or hunt for missing kit.

Bay setup, support and showrooms

FabMaster Workshop supplies and fits TrainBay Starter at our Germiston sample floor, or by arrangement at your training location. We offer hands-on walkthroughs of all gear and layout, as well as practical advice for TVET term changeovers and safe restarts after a power cut.

To see the bay in person, book an appointment at one of our showrooms in Joburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein or Mbombela. For freight delivery or to discuss your workshop’s needs, send us a message through our contact form.
