TorchBay Station service
Regular care keeps your TorchBay Station safe and ready for work. Good daily habits, quick checks and simple fixes help prevent downtime in any busy bay.
Routine care for your TorchBay Station
A clean, well-maintained cutting bay is safer and works better. Stick to a regular care routine and you will catch most issues before they become risks or slow you down.
Get your team into the habit of checking and cleaning the station before and after every shift. Take five minutes each week to run through the basics. Once a month, inspect everything closely and replace any parts showing wear.
- Daily: Wipe down torch handles, check hose reels retract, sweep up hot slag and dust.
- Weekly: Inspect hoses for cuts, burns or stiff spots. Make sure no gas leaks at fittings.
- Monthly: Check cylinder chains, flashback arrestors and tip racks. Clean PPE hooks and safety signs.

Signs your station needs attention
If you notice loose hoses, leaking gas, or torches that hiss or cut unevenly, stop work and check the basics. Strange smells, burnt hose rubber or flickering pilot flames all mean something is wrong.
Start by checking the cylinder valves, hose reels and all connections for leaks or wear. Look for melted, cracked or blackened fittings. Make sure flashback arrestors are fitted and clear. If in doubt, isolate the gas supply until you know it is safe.
How to ask for help with your TorchBay Station
If you need support or a service visit, send us a message through our contact form. Include a clear photo of the bay or problem area, the gear or fixture name, and a short note on what changed or went wrong.
Photos help us give you direct, practical advice. Mention if you have changed gas suppliers, swapped hoses, or moved any gear. We can then check for issues unique to your setup and get you working again.
- Send a photo of the bay or fault.
- Name the gear or part (for example, TorchBay Station, tip rack, hose reel).
- Describe what changed or failed.
- Add your workshop name and town for reference.
