Aisha Moodley

Looking after bay safety and PPE every shift

Aisha Moodley handles the day-to-day setup and upkeep of our PPE stations, spark skirts, and bay safety controls. She checks that every welding and grinding zone has the right gear, face shields, gloves, spark screens, dust chutes and warning signs, in the spots where they are most needed. When parts move or jobs change, Aisha is quick to reset PPE racks, refill visor packs, and tag out any gear that needs repair.

With every shift, she looks for the real-world snags: PPE left behind on a bench, gloves that do not fit, or a missing spark guard. Her rounds include checking ventilation setups and fire points, making sure everything matches workshop risk and General Safety Regulation 9. Aisha works closely with trainers and foremen, showing them how to keep PPE accessible and track it on busy days.

Helping yards and jobs across industries

Aisha supports fabrication shops, mining yards, agricultural repair sheds and TVET welding bays. She adapts PPE and safety controls to fit high-turnover teams, quick job changes, and tough floor conditions such as coastal humidity or Highveld dust.

She helps set up GrindDeck Safe units for grinding work, colour tags PPE for shift handover, and labels spark risk zones in mixed-use workshops. Her focus is on practical bay layouts: welding and grinding zones clearly marked, PPE stations within arm’s reach, and safety signs that match what actually happens on the floor. Aisha’s approach works for everything from small gate shops to large industrial yards.

  • Bay PPE stations tailored for welding and grinding
  • Spark skirt kits for safe grinding decks
  • Fit-for-purpose gloves, visors and hearing protection
  • Practical safety checks for night and overtime shifts
